Our venue for the 2024 Conference

The Glasshouse is an iconic and internationally-renowned centre for musical education and entertainment on the Gateshead bank of the River Tyne.

Previously known as The Sage, The Glasshouse is a place where new musicians are nurtured and showcased on the same stages as platinum-selling performers. It is where youth choirs and tambourine-shaking toddlers practise in the same spaces as the acclaimed orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia.

The venue’s focus is on creating and celebrating outstanding music - whether that’s unearthing or growing talent from the region or bringing the world’s best artists to the stages.

For the APAGBI 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting, The Glasshouse will provide an excellent backdrop: easy to find and access, with world class technical facilities and plenty of space for our sessions, workshops, poster, exhibition and catering.

Like the venue’s range of performers mentioned above, this Conference will showcase expertise from the local area, from invited international experts and from trainees.
